It’s been ages since my last post. Things have gotten really busy, in a productive and inspiring way. I finished my jeans and, not only do they fit, I got to wear them all over Paris. And yet, I still don’t have a photo of myself in them. It was my first solo trip—going to a new country where I speak a minimally coherent version of the language, and know not a single soul. I spent a total of eight full days traipsing from museum to gallery to patisserie, just absorbing as much as I could.
In total over 8 full days I:
- Walked 147,547 steps
- Climbed 258 flights of stairs
- Visited 10 museums, 6 places of architectural significance, and 3 churches
- Traveled by Plane, metro, train, taxi, boat, and the funicular
And was exhausted but still wanting more as I boarded my plane home. The highlights for me were the Marche Demarche exhibit at the Musée des Arts Décoratifs and the Toulouse-Lautrec Exposition at Grand Palais. Versailles wasn’t too shabby either.
A few shots I snagged in Paris are below, and I’ll have a separate post on the Marche Demarche exhibit soon because it was utterly amazing.
